Student Reflection: Writhing--Spelling Error or Hidden Message?

On Friday, students had to write about 1. what they learned in science this week AND 2. what they can do to improve themselves, too.

Dean wrote, "In science, I learned that water heats up slower than sand but lasts longer. I can write neater so Mrs. Mixson can read my hand writhing."

Writhing, indeed! Yes, we wrote a LOT this week!  True! So cute! Welcome to middle school!!

In our house, when everybody was home it started to rain.So we stayed down stairs together watching TV.Suddenly the TV shuts down and the lights aren’t shining. We have our flashlight, but the battery died since my baby brother used it for a toy. Then it started to hail like baseballs, but made dents like soccer balls on our cars. Our dog started barking and ran around the house as if it was a ghost following him. Then we stayed in the living room behind the couch praying. In a split second the front door opened. The rain, snow, and hail  came smashing in like as if a hundred basketballs was shot from a rocket launcher. It hit my big sister, she was out cold.My dad ran and slammed the door closed. We thought it was all over, but we were wrong. Our neighbors house had a tree fallen on it on fire.We stayed behind the couch for 12 hours thinking we were going to be out cold like my sister.
